Établissement Public de Télévision, commonly known as EPTV, is the state-run public broadcaster of Algeria. As a proud member of the European Broadcasting Union, EPTV operates radio and television broadcasting to serve the people of Algeria. It began broadcasting as a member of Radiodiffusion Télévision Français, or RTF, an alliance of radio and television stations originating from France. By the time Algeria proclaimed its independence, they established Radiodiffusion-Télévision Algérienne in 1962.
