1988–1989[]
NEW-10 Perth began transmission on 20 May 1988. It was originally going to be WCW-10 (West Coast Television) until a change of ownership forced the station to be renamed NEW-10 for marketing purposes. The callsign stood for New Western Australia.

On 27 October 1989, the station was sold to Charles Curran's Capital Television Group so the network could be rescued from its financial difficulties.

In 1995, NEW-10 Perth rejoined the network when new owners Canwest bought the station.
