1 Live is a station that is broadcast by the Westdeutscher Rundfunk and broadcasts to the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. It is also the host station for the syndicated overnight program "Die junge Nacht der ARD" (ARD youth night).

The station started broadcasting on 1 April 1995, on the frequencies of WDR 1. No programmes were directly carried over, however, one section of a programme was brought over, extended and simulcast on television, this being 1 Live Domian.
2002–2006[]

The logo was slightly changed in 2002, straightening off the hanging edges from the logo and changing to a brighter pink.
