2019–2020[]

The official logo for 2021 Copa América was unveiled on October 17, 2019. It has been postponed by a year to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
2020–2021[]

On May 20, 2021, it was announced that Colombia will withdraw as originator for the protests in the country, leaving only Argentina that will determine CONMEBOL if the competition will be held in an Argentine country or another country that wants to organize the Copa América.
2021[]

After the resignation of Colombia due to the protests in the country and the problems of carrying out in Argentina due to the quarantines of the COVID-19 pandemic, the logo was updated eliminating the organizing countries, leaving only the year where the tournament will be disputed.[1]
However, on May 30, 2021, CONMEBOL suspended the holding of the Copa América in Argentina for holding the championship due to problems of holding the tournament due to COVID-19 quarantines the next day, CONMEBOL confirmed that the Copa America will be played again in Brazil.[2]
