In July 2020, Gatot Dewa Broto, secretary of the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sport announced that the official emblem of FIFA U-20 World Cup will be revealed in January 2021.[1] It has been previously reported that the emblem was scheduled for release on 23 May 2020,[2] and then postponed to 9 September to coincide with the National Sports Day.

On 24 December 2020, FIFA officially delays the 23rd edition of U-20 World Cup until 2023 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[3] With the delays take place, logo introduction is possibly on hold.
