The 2026 FIFA World Cup, stylised as FIFA World Cup 26 will be the 23rd edition of the foremost international association football tournament, scheduled to take place in June through July 2026. This will be the first edition of the cup to host 48 teams (opposed to 32 previously) and the first to be held across three countries; Canada, Mexico and the United States.

The defending champions were Argentina who won the 2022 tournament in Qatar.

On 10 April 2017, the Canadian Soccer Association, Federación Mexicana de Futbol and the United States Soccer Federation, unveiled their joint bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Canada, Mexico, and the United States were announced as co-hosts over Morocco in Moscow, Russia on 13 June 2018 during the 68th FIFA Congress.
