3TV (Chile)

In 2013, 3TV was intended to replace Más Visión focusing on programming based on culture, entertainment, and truthful information with the inspired name by a Chilean newspaper, La Tercera, both channel and newspaper were owned by Copesa (part of Grupo Saieh) at the time.[1] The channel would not only broadcast in Santiago, but nationally as a television network. However, the project never made it and it was cancelled on September 23 due insufficient budget to transmit this channel, massive layoffs and banking problems, resulting a failure for this channel causing a financial crisis for Grupo Saieh, its parent company.[2]

The only known TV series known to be produced for 3TV was En Terapia, an adaptation of the HBO series In Treatment produced by Parox and completed before the cancellation of the channel. In 2022, after years of having its broadcasting rights, the series finally premiered on Televisión Nacional de Chile.
