7flix is Australia’s first free-to-air variety channel. The channel was officially announced on 7 February 2016 and launched on 28 February. The logo uses the generic Seven Network logo, with the red colour being replaced with pink, and the word "flix", written in italic lowercase letters, was added next to it but started using its gradients.
On 24 March 2016, 7flix became available to Foxtel cable subscribers with iQ3, iQ2, and iQ1.5 set-top boxes on channel 187.
On 3 August 2017, Prime announced it would carry the channel to its regional stations in Northern and Southern NSW, Regional Victoria, and Mildura. The channel launched on 3 September on Freeview channel 66.
On 16 December 2019, it was announced that 7flix will be completely rebranded in 2020 and focus on young female audiences.
