Capital Radio, commonly known as 95–106 Capital FM, is Britain's long–running radio station, airing the 'contemporary hit radio' format. Originally broadcasting to London, the station's owner Global Radio bought several CHR radio stations across Great Britain in 2011, renaming them as Capital.

Capital Radio originally launched on 557 kHz (539 metres) medium wave which was a temporary frequency as the transmitter at Saffron Green was not completed until 1975. Once on–air, the frequency switched to the now familiar 1547 kHz (194 metres) – later tweaked to 1548 kHz.

On 2 November 2022, Capital launched a new look for its family of stations (Dance, XTRA and XTRA Reloaded), dropping the "95-106" and "FM". The general style of the previous logo has been kept, albeit with a lighter colour scheme.
