Capital Radio 1973 a

Capital Radio originally launched on 539 kHz medium wave which was a temporary frequency as the transmitter at Saffron Green was not completed until 1975. Once on-air, the frequency switched to the now familiar 1547 kHz (194 metres) - later tweaked to 1548 kHz.
