9X was a Hindi general entertainment channel launched on 12 November 2007 by INX Media (whose other channels were 9XM and NewsX ). It was acquired by Zee on 28 April 2010 to complement Zee TV .
However, its ratings did not improve, and 9X closed down on 30 April 2015 along with Hindi movie channel Zee Premier .
In late 2010, INX Media was renamed to 9X Media and launched several music channels under the 9X brand, complementing 9XM . As for NewsX, it has been owned by the iTV Network since 2012.
2007–2015 [ ] The channel was one of a number of Hindi GECs launched in the late 2000s, of which Colors was the only one to be successful; all others such as 9X and Imagine TV failed.
