1962–1999
Although A&M Records shut down in 1999, a 1998 lawsuit from the company's founders over PolyGram and Universal Music Group breaching their integrity clause led to the A&M name continuing to be used as an imprint of Interscope Records until 2007, when it was fully revived as A&M/Octone Records.
