In 1990, Jusco changed its group name to AEON (stylized as ÆON); its corporate name remained as Jusco Co., Ltd until August 21, 2001, when it was renamed as AEON Co., Ltd.

The Jusco name would be retained in outlets in Japan until 2011, Malaysia until 2012, and was eventually retired in March 1, 2013 when Jusco stores in Mainland China and Hong Kong were rebranded to AEON.
