This was the bidding logo and features a kangaroo silhouette heading a football, which had been recycled from Australia's 2022 FIFA World Cup bid logo. As the lone bidder, Australia won the rights to host the tournament by default.
The official variation of the logo shows a man heading a ball (representing the Australian sun) to the east in the direction of Asia relative to Australia's geographic location. The four strands represent Australia and at the time of creation, the four host cities of the event. It had since become five cities, but the logo remained the same.
