Alongside the top-tier AFC Champions League Elite, the logo for the new ACL2 competition and trophy was unveiled at the 34th AFC Congress in Bangkok on 16 May 2024, having been announced months earlier.[1] On the eve of the second leg of the AFC Champions League final, the confederation announced all records from the AFC Cup are carried on to the ACL2.[2]
