AVA is a women’s TV channnel owned by MTV Oy, the largest commercial broadcaster in Finland. It was launched in 2008 as MTV3 AVA as a pay-TV channel, then renamed to AVA in 2011 and converted into a free-to-air terrestrial channel.
In 2008, MTV3+ was replaced by a new channel called MTV3 AVA. In its early years, it was a pay channel.
On 15 January 2011, MTV3 AVA was renamed to AVA and became an advertising-supported free-to-air channel.
The logo became a hand-drawn scribbled logo in July 2012. It was a comparatively short-lived logo, lasting for 16 months until the companywide rebranding of MTV Oy in November 2013.
A new logo and graphics package was introduced on 3 November 2013 along with the rest of MTV Oy. The new on-screen typeface is FS Emeric, which is used by MTV3 and most other properties of the company.
2017–presentA modified graphics package was introduced in 2017.
