Aaj Tak, Hindi for until today, is the Hindi-language news channel of the India Today Group, and one of the most-viewed news channels in India across all languages. Its English counterpart is India Today Television. Some of its oldest competitors are ABP News, India TV, Zee News, News18 India and NDTV India.
A high-definition feed was launched in December 2018, making it the first Hindi news channel with an HD feed.

Used from 1995 to 2000, when Aaj Tak was broadcast on DD Metro as a news program of 10 to 20 minutes.
2000–2004[]
Launched on 31 December 2000 as an independent news channel.
2004–2021[]
Aaj Tak had a brand refresh on 15 September 2004.
2021–present[]
There was another brand refresh on 19 January 2021, shortly after its 20th anniversary.
Aaj Tak HD[]

Launched on 14 December 2018, Aaj Tak HD is one of the first non-English true HD news channels in India. It was launched in the same month as the state-owned DD News HD, which is bilingual (Hindi and English).
