In 2009, Acer introduced the Aspire Predator G series of gaming desktop PCs.

The Predator series later spun off from the Acer Aspire line to become a distinct gaming focused PC brand to compete with the likes of Asus Republic of Gamers and A4Tech Bloody, and introduced its gaming laptops under that brand.
