Afghanistan National Television (Dari: تلویزیون ملی Televizion-e Milli-ye Afghanistan, Pashto: ملی تلویزیون Da Afghanistan Milli Televizion) is the state-owned television channel in Afghanistan. It is part of the Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA) public broadcaster.

1978–1998[]

Afghan National Television was launched on August 19, 1978 (as Afghan Independence Day). Since the beginning its broadcasts were in colour. During the Taliban regime, it ceased operations when television was banned, and on July 8, 1998, they ordered the destruction of all TV sets.

2001–200?[]

Following with overthrowing the Taliban in November 2002, it was relaunched the broadcast, and the government started planning and attempting to reformed into a public service broadcaster

The logo color is black, red and green which are based on Islamic Republic of Afghanistan tricolour flag.

2021–2022[]

The secondary logo which is coloured white used as primary logo after Taliban takeover in 2021. The white colour is based on Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan flag colour.

2022–present[]

The logo changed the colour to light blue while it turns bolder, and the Arabic letter "ى" was slightly longer.
