In 2003, Sony relaunched Aiwa as a youth-oriented budget cyber electronics brand. The relaunch failed, and in 2005, product development was stopped. Three years later, Sony completely nixed the brand, but it was revived in 2015 and licensed/owned by different companies, using the 1991 logo.
