Tricom and Orange merged in 2017 to create Altice Dominicana. The Dominican Republic is the only country where Altice has replaced the existing consumer brands; in Portugal, France and Israel, respectively, the MEO, SFR and Hot brands have been retained, rather than being replaced by the Altice brand.
