Midway through Bob Saget's final season (season 8) in 1997, the show got a visual refresh, heavily utilizing 3D animation.

1997–2015[]

After Bob Saget's departure, the show went through a major visual refresh, with new hosts, a new set, and a new logo. This logo was used through several hosting changes. The show was also now abbreviated as AFV as opposed to AFHV. The logo made its debut on a TGIF sneak peek of the upcoming season, which aired November 21, 1997. The logo's font is now Amoebia Sans.
