1996–1998[]
Angelfire was first released in 1996 as a combination of a website builder and medical transcription service. Not long after inception, Angelfire dropped the medical transcription service. Angelfire would be bought by WhoWhere in 1997, then WhoWhere was bought by Lycos in 1998. Lycos still manages Angelfire.

After this revamp, Angelfire grew rapidly, and this logo remained for a number of years.

In September of 2010, Angelfire received a major revamp. Web Shell, which had been the main way of building a site was put aside. The site now optimizes the Site Builder, though premium members can still access the old Web Shell.
