Nash won with his song "Pada Syurga di Wajahmu", composed by Fauzi Marzuki.

This was the first edition to be separated into three categories, Irama Malaysia (later known as Entik Kreatif), Pop Kreatif and Rock. It was also the last edition to have a remixed version of the original theme tune and the second one to be held in a different venue.
