Hitachi Automotive Systems was established in 2009 as the spin-off of Automotive Systems division of Hitachi.
Hitachi Astemo[]
2021–2025[]
On 1 January 2021, Hitachi Automotive Systems merged with Keihin, Showa and Nissin Kogyo; the three latter companies were majority owned by Honda. As the result, Hitachi Automotive Systems changed the name to Hitachi Astemo. The Astemo name is an acronym which stands for "Advanced Sustainable Technologies for Mobility".
This was the corporate logo that used by Hitachi Astemo until April 2025.

2021–present[]
Since October 2023, both Hitachi and Honda own each of 40% stake, with JIC Capital being the new equity shareholder which holds 20% stake. Following the shareholding change, Hitachi Astemo officially simplified its corporate name to Astemo, Ltd., phasing out the Hitachi branding since then.
This logo was introduced in January 2021 in the consumer-facing exclusive usage, but since April 2025, it became a generic logo.
