Austrian Airlines AG is the flag carrier of Austria and a subsidiary of Lufthansa, the flag carrier of Germany. The airline is headquartered on the grounds of Vienna International Airport in Schwechat where it also maintains its hub. As of July 2016, the airline flew to six domestic and more than 120 international year-round and seasonal destinations in 55 countries and is a member of the Star Alliance since 2000.

After the merger of Austrian Airlines with Tyrolean Airlines, it launched a new brand identity including new logo, new livery and an overhauled brand concept called “my Austrian”. A B777-200 (OE-LPD) and an A321-100 (OE-LBC) still wear this livery.

In January 2016, Austrian Airlines announced that it will drop the “my” title from its brand identity, which the decision has been severely criticized. 10 A320 and 1 B767-300ER (OE-LAZ) wear this livery, they are constantly being repainted to the latest 2018 livery.
Jointly designed by Austrian Airlines and the viennese branding agency Brainds using the Portada font, it is part of the overhaul of the Austrian brand identity for its 60th anniversary which also includes a brand new livery. The logo was honored with the Red Dot Award in 2019.
