BBC South Today was a distinct news service serving through the Oxford transmitter from 16 October 2000 to 16 December 2022.

Like with the Channel Islands service, it broadcast a full bulletin as part of the 1pm and 10pm news programmes, whilst it broadcast an opt-out from the main South Today programme at 6.30pm (weekdays).

BBC South Today started broadcasting via the Oxford transmitter in 2000, giving news bulletins focused on Oxfordshire. The logo differs from the South variant in that there is a map of Oxfordshire in this one.
