On the April 24, 2019, BBVA announced it would drop the Compass name and become BBVA.[2]. In November 2020, BBVA announced the sale of its US unit to PNC Financial Services, completed on June 1, 2021, followed by the rebrand of BBVA branches to PNC Bank on October 12, 2021.
