− | In April 2003, BT decided to shed it's "piper" for a new, modern logo, known as "connected world". The globe device part of the logo was originally designed by the Wolff Olins brand consultancy for BT's Concert joint venture with AT&T, and was subsequently used by BT's internet division, Openworld, prior to being adopted by the company as a whole. Reflecting the aspirations of a technologically innovative future, the connected world is designed to embody BT’s five corporate values: trustworthy, helpful, inspiring, straightforward, heart. The logo was the same, but the "piper" was replaced by a "connected world", and the colour was made slightly darker. |

1999–2003
A revised colour palette was used from 1999.
2003–2019
In April 2003, BT decided to replace the "piper" with a new, more modern logo referred to as the "connected world" as well as making the text slightly darker. It was designed by Wolff Olins and was subsequently used by OpenWorld; BT's internet division before being adopted by the whole company. It was made to embody BT’s five corporate values: trustworthy, helpful, inspiring, straightforward and heart.
2019–present
On 15 September 2016, BT applied for the above logos to be trademarked from the Intellectual Property Office. The coloured version was eventually withdrawn in December 2016, with the remaining one registered in February 2017. The logo is set to be the centrepiece of the company's first brand shift since 2003, reflecting its move into pay-TV sports and the mobile phone market.
In May 2019, after being delayed for two years, BT officially revealed the new logo after its chief executive, Phillip Jansen, confirmed plans to rebrand the company. It was also confirmed that the new logo will roll out in August of that year. The new logo was first used on BT Sport and it has been used on the website since October 18, 2019.
