On May 7, 1994, the bank became a group, following Banca Popolare Abruzzese Marchigiana joining it.
In 1997, the bank became part of Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna. Because of the merger of the latter, the bank's ownership was later transferred to Cardine Banca.
