In 1972, the banks of Colombia, Comercio, Grancolombiano, Santander and other financial entities of the group founded the Grancolombiana Savings and Housing Corporation.

2000-2006[]
In 2000, Granahorrar was converted into a bank, and at the same time acquiring Banco Central Hipotecario. Granahorrar remained there until 2006 when it was absorbed by BBVA.
