Signage that appears in front of a Bank of Montreal bank branch.
During this period, the Bank of Montreal used a variety of different wordmarks, but didn't appear to use a single one consistently.
From 1817 to 1942, the Bank of Montreal issued their own paper money and they printed their company name on that paper money using a variety of different typefaces. The upper image shows one example from 1857.
