Baycol (sold in Germany as Lipobay) was a brand of cerivastatin sold by Bayer from 1997 to 2001. It was recalled and discontinued from markets worldwide after it was reported to be the cause of around 100 deaths and connected to a fatal muscle disorder called rhabdomyolysis.
