On June 28, 2023, Overstock.com won a bid to acquire the Bed Bath & Beyond name and intellectual property in a bankruptcy auction. The following day, they announced plans to rebrand itself under the Bed Bath & Beyond brand name with a relaunched website in the United States and Canada in 2023, following the closure of all physical Bed Bath & Beyond locations. Overstock.com expressed no interest in opening retail outlets, and said that they would stay online-only.

On August 1, 2023, Overstock.com relaunched under the Bed Bath & Beyond branding with a slightly modified logo. The parent company of the new Bed Bath & Beyond would be named Beyond on November 6th of the same year.
The brand is also used for certain products in The Container Store, also owned by Beyond Inc.
