Bill's Dollar Stores, Inc. was acquired by Raleigh, N.C.-based Variety Wholesalers, Inc. (owner of Roses, Maxway, Super Dollar, and Super 10) in December 2003, and slowly converted Bill's locations or closed ones close to existing VWI-owned stores.
