The Smash Hits! TV channel was launched on 15 May 2001. It was named after a magazine of the same name, which ceased publication in 2006.
2012–2016[]
Smash Hits! got a new logo in 2012 and the white and yellow (later red) colour removed on letters and had a raspberry-red colour, the I is now cut and the font changed. At the same time, the TV channel went widescreen, along with sister channel Kiss.
Box Hits[]
2016–2022[]
On 29 June 2022, Box Hits was replaced by the new version of 4Music following E4 Extra's launch.
