Until 1982 a Brisbane Representative Team played the County Carnival matches against a Queensland County Representative Team. In 1983 the County Carnival was superseded in favour of State Championships.
Ballymore Tornadoes[]
2006-2007[]
The Ballymore Tornadoes were an Australian Rugby Championship team representing Brisbane. The team, like the championship was short-lived and folded in 2007.
Brisbane City[]
2014-present[]
Brisbane City was founded in 2014, the same year as the National Rugby Championship in which it began competing.
