BritBox is an SVOD service created by BBC Studios and ITV plc. It was first launched in the United States in 2017, followed by Canada in 2018, Australia in 2020, and South Africa in 2021.
A separate, but related service under the same name launched in the UK in 2019.

In February 2019, it was announced that BritBox would be launched in the UK later in the year as a rival to Netflix.

On 30 April 2024, the BritBox website and app in the UK were shut down. Active BritBox subscriptions were converted to ITVX Premium subscriptions. BritBox content will continue to be available with an ITVX Premium subscription.
