2016–2017[]
The emblem was unveiled on 14 April 2016, and was the last candidate to unveil its official emblem before the 130th IOC Session in 2017.
On 22 February 2017, Budapest announced they will withdraw their bid after the result of a referendum among citizens said the prospect of hosting the Olympic Games was unfavourable among the city residents.[1] Paris and Los Angeles were left as the final two candidates for the hosting privileges of the 2024 Summer Olympics, which were ultimately awarded to Paris.
