2022–present[]
On August 31, 2022, the Sabres announced that for the 2022/23 season, the black uniforms from 1996-2006 would be resurrected as a 3rd jersey, alongside a modified, simplified version of the primary logo, whose changes include less detail, the omission of light gray, slight adjustments to the shape of the logo, and a single red trim.
2006-2010[]
Designed by Kris Bazen. This logo was derided among fans of the team, leading to the reintroduction of the team's classic logo.
Prototypes[]
2010-2020[]
The 1970-96 logo was revived, albeit with navy blue and silver accents.
2020-present[]
The classic logo color of royal blue was brought back for 2020, as were their classic uniforms (albeit set in a modern template).
2021 (Reverse Retro)[]
For the NHL's Reverse Retro uniform program that took place in the COVID-shortened 2021 season, the Sabres introduced a version of their 2000-06 3rd "crossed swords" jersey that was white and implemented modern blue/gold instead of red/black, but keeping the grey. This applied to the crossed swords logo on the crest (left) and the primary logo that sat on the shoulders (right).
