On March 15, 2010, as a result of the Canadian dollar's rising exchange rate against the American dollar - which led to the studio receiving less jobs from Americans and shrinking margins for work completed on film and TV projects during the previous year's financial recession, C.O.R.E. announced it would be suspending operations and would be shut down.[1]
