Solar Entertainment first launched its namesake entertainment cable channel in the early 2000s, one devoted to American programs. This channel was later known as Solar USA (the acronym stands for "Ultimate in Suspense and Action"), and then later simply as USA. Solar USA was replaced by two separate channels in 2005. It's comedy and general entertainment programming was moved to Jack TV, while action and crime dramas were given a new separate channel, Crime/Suspense, later launched in October of that year.
On June 18, 2007, Crime/Suspense rebranded as C/S. On January 1, 2008, C/S was aired on RPN (Free TV).
On October 4, 2008, C/S rebranded as C/S 9 until November 28, 2009.
