BBC Choice launched with an afternoon children's programming strand which shared its name and branding with CBBC. The strand often broadcast archive programming.

CBBC on Choice[]
1999-2002[]
In late 1999, the strand was extended across most of the morning and afternoon and was rebranded CBBC on Choice. The regular CBBC idents were used throughout this period with the CBBC on Choice logo used sparingly. The strand was replaced by a dedicated CBBC channel in 2002 along with a new younger children's channel called CBeebies.
