In 1997, Westinghouse Broadcasting was absorbed into CBS Inc., which they merged with in 1995. CBS O&O WFOR-TV in Miami continued to use the Westinghouse name on their license until 2000.  The same year, it merged with the original Viacom (which was the subsidiary of the network) until the split in 2006 (the new Viacom and the original one renamed CBS Corporation), and their second merger in 2019 to form ViacomCBS (now Paramount Global).
