Until April 15, 2013, CHNB-DT and its repeaters were little more than a semi-satellite of Halifax-based CIHF. This meant that the station was largely programmed from CIHF, but had its own advertisements and news updates inserted into its own feed, separately from CIHF's. After April 15, 2013, CIHF's repeaters in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island were spun off into a new station called CHNB-DT, in Saint John. It is still a semi-satellite, but its programming differs much more than in the past.

2013-2022[]
After the split, CHNB-DT gained its own logo, as "Global New Brunswick".
