1997–2001[]
CIVT was founded as an independent station called "Vancouver Television" owned by CTV's parent at that time, Baton.
2001–present[]
2001–2002[]
The station became a CTV O&O in September of 2001 to take over the CTV affiliation from CanWest Global's CHAN-TV, which had become a Global O&O.
2002–2018[]
Many CTV stations began to use the main CTV logo as their station branding between 2002 and 2005. CIVT was among the first to conduct such a manoeuvre, which occurred on July 1, 2002.
2018–present[]
