The logo signify the respective channel numbers in Ottawa and Cornwall (which originally had its own station on channel 8, CBC Television affiliate CJSS-TV, from 1959 until 1963). This logo was created after CJOH's original owner, Bushnell Communications, bought CJSS in 1963 to serve as a repeater for CJOH.

The logo is composed of a 13, 8 and 6 -- the three channels where CJOH could be viewed, in different regions of Ontario. The three viewing regions were Ottawa/Hull (channel 13), Cornwall (channel 8) and Kingston-Belleville and Trenton (channel 6).
