CJ Group was founded as Cheil Jedang in 1952 as a sugar and flour manufacturer and it was a branch of the Samsung Group until it became an independent company in 1997. The group focuses on numerous businesses in various industries such as food and food industries, pharmaceutics and biotechnology, entertainment and media, home shopping and logistics.
