CNBC-TV18 is the oldest 24-hour business news channel in India. Launched on 7 December 1999 as CNBC India, it was renamed to CNBC-TV18 in 2004.
CNBC-TV18 is an English-language channel, like its competitors
NDTV Profit, ET Now and the now-defunct BTVI. A Hindi sister channel, CNBC Awaaz, was launched in 2005; the Gujarati CNBC Bajar followed in 2014.
