2000px-Cadbury Schweppes

Cadbury Schweppes plc was a food conglomerate formed in 1969 by merger of British chocolate company Cadbury and Swiss carbonated beverage company Schweppes.

In 2008, after several subsidiaries and brands are sold, Cadbury Schweppes finally split and refocused as its predecessors. Confectionery business became Cadbury plc and US soft drinks business became Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc.

Cadbury itself later acquired by American food conglomerate Kraft Foods in 2010, and became part of Mondelēz International in 2012. Mondelēz, coincidentally, held 13% stakes in newly-merged Keurig Dr Pepper (formerly Keurig Green Mountain which Mondelēz previously had 25% stakes of the company, and Dr Pepper Snapple Group) which owns several former Cadbury Schweppes beverage brands.
